Landon went to Pella on May 9th with mommy and daddy. We ran into some great friends, ate great food, and watched the parade. Landon's first parade though he wasn't as interested in the parade as he was laughing with every passerby. He just loves attention and he gets alot of it- anytime someone walks by and smiles even a little at him (especially when they talk to him) he eats it up and flirts - its adorable. Mother's day we grilled out with family and had a good time watching the kids play.
Landon started crawling last Friday night (the 15th). He had been trying and so close for so long, getting caught up on one knee, not knowing what to do so getting back on his butt and then trying all over again. Now he is getting all over the place and he is loving it. He grins really big and of course mommy and daddy praise him with clapping and big grins. It is great to see him being able to get the objects that he so desperately wants!
We went to the dentist this week because we noticed that Landon has a sharp tooth coming in BEHIND his front teeth. It is coming in slanted. The dentist then sent us to the oral surgeon. The said that they could put him under anesthesia and take it out or let it stay there til Landon is 4 or 5 and then take it out and not have to put him completely under anesthesia. That is what we chose to do because anytime you put someone under it can have affects. Plus, it isn't bothering Landon with feeding or irritating his mouth or tongue so we decided to wait.
Today we went to the doctor because Landon has bad yeast infection that has not cleared up with the ointment the nurse told us to use through a phone conversation. We got a stronger ointment that needed a prescription and the doctor also gave us a diaper rash concoction to use. Here's hoping that it starts the healing process. His weight is 22 lbs. 6 oz. He is such a growing boy- and happy happy happy!!!

Non stop movement!
Landon turned 9 months on April 28th. Mommy and Landon went to daddy's school and had lunch with him to celebrate. Landon is changing so much all the time. He is definitely making it known when he isn't getting enough attention- screaming, squealing, and pounding his hands on the counter. It doesn't happen too often but most often while mommy is in the kitchen cooking. As mommy concentrates he isn't the center of attention and he is SO not used to that!
Landon is trying the crawl with all his might. He gets up on his hands and knees but then can't figure out what to do. He also reaches very far to get objects and sometimes lands on his belly- then just kind of lies there looking up at mommy and daddy for help. He loves to stand up while holding on to different things. He is so close to pulling up on his own to stand but still needs a little time to get that down.
Landon's newest experience. . . grass! We were outside and he wasn't quite sure what to think about that green prickly stuff. Mommy showed him how to pull it out and so there it was- he pulled it out and then it all went in his mouth! Full time duty now keeping him from eating the grass. It is so wonderful to be outside in the nice weather. Landon just loves looking all around and taking it all in.
