Saturday, September 25th, we went to Boone for Thomas the Train. We had a great time although we had a rough start. There was so much traffic (an Iowa State game in Ames) that we were late for our scheduled time for the train but they let ride on the later train. We didn't have much time to look at everything either due to being late. It didn't make much difference though because it had been raining all day earlier and it would not have been much fun in the rain. By the time we got there the rain had stopped and we had a half hour to check out the different things going on before he had to get on the train. They had tables with trains that kids could play with and a gift shop. Of course we had to get some souvenirs for Landon. It was, after all, the first time he got to meet Thomas. It was also the first time that he (or Logan) had ever ridden a train.

Landon didn't know exactly what to think of Thomas as first. I think he was just taking it all in. We had talked to him about it all weekend, trying to get him excited about it and trying to explain what would be going on. We were able to get some good pictures with Thomas though!

Landon and Thomas- taking it all in.

Here we are after boarding!!! Landon is still skeptical with all that is going on.

Logan is so alert and happy today. He is all bundled up because it is only 50 degrees outside. He is so cute with his bright blue eyes and big wide grin. He obviously didn't have a clue what was all going on around him but it is so good that he is easy going and laid back- he just always goes along for the ride smiling and loving every minute.

Landon was checking everything out on the train!!!
