Happy Halloween

We were able to go out many different times so that Landon and Logan could dress up. Landon was Mickey Mouse and Logan was a little monkey. They were so adorable!!!! Landon got really good at saying "trick or treat" and his trick was shaking his little mickey butt. He cracks us up. On Sunday night (one week before Halloween) we went to Night Eyes at the zoo with the Huegel's. Andrew and Landon are such sweet friends, always running around and following each other. We could not take enough pictures of all their cute moments. Landon loved the zoo. They had different scenes from movies set up that you walk through and get candy. There were different characters dressed up too. Landon is still a little too young to appreciate this though and was scared, trying to hide behind daddy and mommy.Mickey Mouse and Woody hand in hand.
Curious George with daddy and Landon. Landon just loves Curious George!!!

Somewhere over the rainbow in Wizard of Oz.

Mickey and Woody playing pirates!

We got to ride the train around the zoo too. Landon and Andrew rode the train holding hands. It was so sweet.

There were times when the kids took off their hats (well Mickey's head and Woody's hat). So Jen and I decided to wear them!

Break time! What a Kodak moment. Those boys are so adorable.

And my little monkey riding along in the stroller very content and oh so cute!

Landon and Andrew went through the maze lickity split. This was the first of many mazes that Landon went through and had no problem finding his way out. Such smart kids.

Mommy just loves sugar cookies and every holiday daddy makes us sugar cookies and mommy and Landon frost them. Most of the frosting ends up in Landon's mouth rather than on the cookie but he does his best and has so much fun.

And the only thing better than frosting a cookie. . . .eating it!!!

And making a mess-
Logan is always smiling. He just gets to sit back and watch this year.

We got to go to Mickey's Magic Show. It was Landon's first live show and there were lots of oohing and awwing. Every time that one of the characters would go off the stage, Landon would ask "where did he go?" It was so sweet. We loved watching his expressions and seeing his face light up.

We went with Brianne and Josh and their little boy Landon.

Mickey Mouse and the whole gang.

Landon also got a Mickey magic hat.
Then we also got to go to Living History Farms on Friday night before Halloween with Gramma Peggy. We got to walk around trick or treating and ride on a hay ride. Landon also got to roast his first marshmallow with daddy.
Stopping to pose with the pumpkin woman and the smiley face man!
Once again, my little monkey relaxing along the way.
Mickey and mommy on the hay ride.
Then on Saturday Landon got to go to Pumpkin Town.
He got to ring the hay ride bell with Gappa Leon. What a special treat!
And go on the hay ride with Gramma Murray. (It is actually Gramma Mary but it sounds like Murray when Landon says it- it is so cute)
Who says you can't enjoy a hay ride while sucking your thumb?
Logan had a great time rolling and crawling. He is doing so good getting everywhere and has perfected the art of crawling. He is just such a happy little boy.
Landon and daddy found a couple of wheelchairs and Landon just had a wonderful time pushing daddy and then also getting pushed by daddy in the wheelchair. Daddy and Landon were being very goofy. It was fun to watch them laughing and playing.
And then of course Landon had to help Gappa drive the tractor. Can't enjoy an afternoon without that!
Sunday afternoon we also took the boys trunk or treating. Landon was a little scared of some of the costumes but rightly so. Some kids were dressed a little scary. With all of the trick or treating that we were able to participate in- Landon sure did get a lot of candy. Of course it is more about being able to dress up and show off costumes. It was a great year with a mouse and a monkey!

October Update

Logan went to the ENT for his six week check up yesterday and had three different tests to check his hearing. He did really well and passed. The tubes look great so now we don't go back until they take them out. We had a little scare last week and went to the Dr. when Logan's left ear was draining yellow fluid. We started drops and they cleared up. He is doing really well.
Our biggest challenge is getting him to drink his bottles. This has been since the tubes were put in but again we think this is coincidental. We are sure it is due to teeth. He has his two on the bottom and we see two coming in on top. They seem to all be coming at the same time and he is having a very hard time with it. He is only drinking about 12 oz of formula a day and it is very stressful for both mommy and daddy when trying to get him to drink. He has only lost a couple of pounds so we have been told by the Dr. that he is doing fine. Plus, he is a little bit of a chunk so a couple pounds won't hurt him. He eats food very easily. We have started him on puffs and on yogurt melts and (when older brother Landon doesn't steal them away) he has an easy time with them as well. Logan is also taking in other foods easier. He used to spit out anything green and only chowed down certain fruits and sweet potatoes. He is now getting used to many other textures and flavors.
Logan also started crawling this week. He is definitely scooting and when he really wants something that is in front of him he will move those arms and pull himself forward. He still prefers to roll everywhere and wow, he can get anywhere he wants to go by rolling- he is very fast too!!! He can sit up for a long period of time too while playing with different toys. The other day he tipped over and pushed himself back up to sitting. I was so proud. He is changing so fast and is meeting those milestones in fast pace. All of a sudden he is just climbing very quickly in development.
Landon is still a huge help when it comes to chores around the house- always wanting to help and especially wanting to help with his little brother. He holds the bottle for Logan, pushes him in the stroller, gets him toys, helps in feeding him food. . . you name it and Landon does it. He is so sweet and so smart. He is learning shapes, colors, and numbers fast and his sentences are beyond his years. He loves library time- we just switched days and ran into his friend Oliver that is in his tumbling class. That was a great surprise. Landon is doing better and better every week at wiggle bugs too. He is hesitant with some things- like the bars but each week he surprises us more and more with what he is willing to try from one week to the next. We were shocked to notice him run down the front stairs outside our house without holding on to the side of the house anymore. We think that wiggle bugs is helping him with his balance and making him more confident with his movement.
We had pictures taken last weekend and this weekend we took Landon to Mickey's Magic Show. Pictures and blogging more to come on that but I just felt I needed an update on our sweet boys as there seems to be lots going on. We are so proud of them and think we have the cutest, smartest, and sweetest boys ever!!!

Wonderful Wisconsin

We had a great time in Wisconsin with Amy and Chris and the kids. We arrived Thursday night after along day of driving and a stop at Ikea in the Chicago area. We had non stop activity the whole time and the kids had so much fun together! When we weren't out seeing the sights in Wisconsin we were watching the cousins play. It was cute to see Anna and Landon reading together.

On Friday we went to the pumpkin farm. Corn maze, corn walk, animals, and lots of fun running all around.

It's hard to get everyone smiling and looking at the camera at the same time. The kids were so good though most of the time. Landon and Anna got a little tired towards the end of the day- if you look close you can see Landon screaming in the above picture.
Logan is always smiling. The cutest with him is when he saw the ducks and he just started belly laughing. He is always watching everything and that just made his day.

The kids took pictures with different signs and one of them showed that Landon is almost 3 ft. tall. What a big boy.

Oh the corn maze. Earlier the boys went off to go through a corn walk and I stayed behind with Logan. When the opportunity came up to go through the corn maze I decided that I wanted to participate and have some fun with the kids. I didn't let the fact that I had the double stroller with Logan in it stop me. Getting through a corn maze with a stroller is difficult but with a double stroller it is almost impossible. Isaac, Aaron, and Greg were in front of me and every time they took a wrong turn I had to back the huge stroller back up, bumping Logan all over the place and in to alot of corn. Finally the boys decided that they couldn't find there way out so back to the beginning they went. This was actually a great idea but the stroller and I could not keep up and we lost them. Finally we turned and kept trying to find the end because we were running into too many people that were entering the maze. Lets just say that when I did finally emerge from the maze, the rest of the family was standing there laughing at me. What was I thinking trying that with a double stroller? Well, I wasn't thinking at all!
This is just a crazy cute picture of Landon in a big floppy hat. What an absolute cutey!

All the kids running through the corn!
Here are the ducks that made Logan laugh so hard. It was so cute. These ducks made lots of noise too.
And here are the other animals that we got to feed and see.
Alvin and the Chipmunks were in the corn too. The kids were lucky enough to get a quick picture with them.
What we didn't get a picture of was Georgie Porgies. It was a restaurant we went to Friday night. Burgers and custard in a building that had a big tree in it. We went up stairs and ate in the tree house. It was lots of fun and the best ice cream I have ever had in my life. They used tin cans on a string to call out orders. It was so neat and different. The kids had a great time.
Saturday we went to Isaac and Aaron's soccer games. They did such a great job. We loved being able to see their games. Landon loved it too. He kept saying "I play too!?" He got to play with daddy some before the games began.
We do hope that soccer is a sport he wants to play in a couple years when he he gets older. He would be really good at it and it would so much fun to watch.

After the games we went to an outlet mall and ate at Rainforest Cafe. We got seated right in front of a fish tank and a water fall. It was so fun. At times thunder would sound and animals would make noise. Landon got scared once but he got over it fast. They had great food too!!!

We also made it to Lake Michigan. The kids threw rocks in the water and enjoyed playing by the water.
Logan, always smiling, once again was just taking it all in. What an adorable little boy.

And then once we got home it was time for everyone to have a bath. What this picture doesn't show is Aaron was in the tub at one point too. It got very full in that tub!
We left after breakfast on Sunday morning. Gramma Peg, the boys, and Greg and I stopped at an outlet mall on the way home and didn't stay too long. We were anxious to get home. We had such a great time. Landon didn't want to leave. He just loves his cousins soooo much!
