Logan- one year ago!!!

Logan, one year ago today we left for the hospital at 4:30 am to get ready to meet you. Everything went so smoothly and we got to meet you at 7:14 am. You were so precious weighing 8 lbs and 2 oz. You had chubby little cheeks and dark hair. You have blessed us so much and made the perfect addition to our now family of four.

Just like this picture you are very laid back and so content all the time. You smile and laugh most all the time and you go with the flow- which is helpful since you have an older brother that likes to wrestle with you and hug and kiss you - sometimes being a little to rough.

It is so funny to look back at these pictures because it seems like just yesterday that we met you. You have come such a long way sweet Logan in just a year. At first it was hard to adjust to two little ones in our home but it didn't take long to get into the swing of things. With two little boys it is all about trains, trucks, and tractors but we wouldn't have it any other way.

This is your one month picture. You change so much every month. And to our amazement, you always seem to get cuter and cuter.

Here is that smile I always talk about. We get comments all the time on how cute you boys are and how you, Logan, are so happy and content. And I have to tell you Logan that people also say how much you look like me- mommy. I am so happy they say that- that they see so much of me in you. You are an amazing part of me and I (and daddy too) will love you for ever and ALWAYS. Nothing you could ever do will change that. You (and Landon) have blessed us beyond anything we ever thought was possible.

This one has got to be my favorite picture of you!!! Those BRIGHT blue eyes and that little grin with the hand in your mouth is just priceless. This is you at 9 months!!!! You are growing into quite the little handsome man.

You are so big sitting up all on your own. Our sweetie in a little vest- too CUTE! That dark hair you were born with is now very blond and so much thicker now too! Bright blue eyes and blond hair- a lethal combination. And if that isn't enough, add in your amazing personality and charming smile!!! Oh Logan, you are truly a sweet SWEET little boy!!!

And today we got to celebrate your life!!!! We started with going to the indoor playground- I have to admit that you didn't have as good of a time as Landon who was jumping, running, and sliding down slides!!! But you did go down a couple slides yourself and bounced with mommy and Landon in the bouncy house. You cried alot today- not sure if you were just really tired or if you have some growing pains. Either way you just like being held by mommy and I LOVE that.

After the playground we went to McDonald's for lunch where you and Landon had a cheeseburger and fries. After nap time we played and then went and met daddy for supper at Ruby Tuesdays. You had biscuits and pasta. You ate a lot and had a good time. We then went to Toys R Us where we got your birthday present. You got a Toy Story spaceship that you ride on. It is so hard these days to get you boys presents because you end up liking what the other one plays with so since you are so close in age the gifts you get are really for both of you rather than just one of you. We think you will love it though- both your feet can touch the ground and you can ride around on it easily.

We ended the night with your birthday cake and singing. You ate most of the cake yourself- meaning you ate a lot of cake. You were all grins though tonight with that frosting and cake. Landon was right next to you helping too!!! Then bath time and to bed you went.

I have to tell you Logan that your smiles melt my heart and your laughter brings me more joy than you can imagine- but my favorite is you crawling over to me and getting into my lap. I also love feeding you a bottle at night because while eating you love to play and giggle- and cuddle right up into my chest. Daddy and I are so proud of you- you are jabbering and talking, you furniture walk and also walk with us if we just hold on to one of your little hands, you play so well on your own and with your brother, and you are so patient with me and daddy when there are so many things to get done and you probably don't get all the attention that you deserve. Another favorite thing- watching you and your brother interact together. Most of the time we watch the two of you and laugh. You are so sweet together and so adorable. We can tell that you look up to your older brother and we know he just loves you so much. We pray that the two of you will continue to become close and have an amazing relationship. We also continue to pray over you every night- Psalm 91:1. Happy Birthday sweet and wonderful little Logan Josiah. And to many many many more!!!!!!!!
