Too cute

I haven't been keeping up on the change in the boys with this blog lately. I really want to do this so that they can look back on these posts some day. We started this blog the day before Landon was born and this has become my kids' baby book! We have been so busy out doing activities that I want to concentrate on just Landon and Logan for a moment.
Probably the cutest face in the world is when Logan tilts his head to one side and gives a sheepish smile before turning his eyes away. I don't know why he does it but he does it often and it is so sweet. It melts my heart- in a way it is like he is playing but being bashful or something at the same time. His hair is so blond and shaggy too- absolutely adorable.
He gave Gappa a high five the other day and Gappa said "nice job" to which Logan very audibly said "nice job." It was his first two words together. He says "cheese" often too especially when the camera is out! He also says cookie and he says "this" and points all the time. He still isn't talking a whole lot but we are noticing a big difference lately with new words and especially more words. Logan is our little dare devil- afraid of nothing. He has more bumps on his head at any given time than I have ever seen on a kid before. Nothing seems to stop him. He jumps off furniture, wrestles with Landon, climbs on tables. . . and most the time it ends in some kind of bruising. He gets right back up and does it again though!!!
We have been to 3 parades, the hot air balloons, Landon has been to two movies (Cars 2 and Smurfs), and most recently the I Cubs baseball game. They lost interest sooner rather than later but it was a fun experience and we love watching their expressions as they see something new!!! Landon and Logan also got to go bowling with their cousins Levi and Nathaniel. They used a ramp most of the time but once Levi started to bowl without the ramp then they all wanted to bowl without it. It took a long time for that ball to reach the pins!!! The looks on their faces were priceless as they watched their ball knock down the pins. I think it was all four of their first time bowling. It was a great time with gramma, aunt Sarah, and all the kids!
Landon continues to show us how smart he is but he also, being very independent, gets in lots of trouble. He isn't listening as well to us as he once was, wanting to push the limits as far as he can get away with. This results in many time outs. Even with all that though he continues to be the sweetest kid! He is always asking questions- very curious, and he has the best memory. When we drive by a place he says the name and when we were there and what we did there (even if it was 6 plus months ago). He is a very happy 3 year old- always on the move and most of the time smiling and giving hugs and kisses. He loves his little friends in moms group too.
We spend alot of time with them so he has some very sweet little friends that he gets to do most activities with. I love that!!! My moms group is full of awesome ladies with really great kids. That way I am able to be very active, keeping the kids outdoors doing activities that they love and that can increase their imagination and learning.
Daddy comes home from work and takes them to the pool alot or we go and do something as a family. We haven't been spending much time at home lately which makes this mommy very tired. I had my 16 week OB apt and all seems to be going well- other than gaining too much weight! I am eating healthy so I don't understand it completely but oh well, it will come off eventually. We find out Sept 6th if it is a boy or girl so we are really excited about that!!!
We also just had Landon' 3 year pics and Logan's 18 month pics taken so we are anxiously awaiting getting them back!!!
